DescriptionFlorence and George Gibson in front of their home in the Campo Alegre subdivision in north Tempe.The Gibsons subdivided 20 acres into 14 lots to create Campo Alegre in May 1940. They purcahsed Lot 7 of the subdivision for their home the following month (June 1940).
The unique subdivision was created to take advantage of the natural desert terrain and its scenic beauty.
