DescriptionCeramic vessel that stands with a small base, then ballooning outwards to a bulbous shape that again quickly tapers at the top into a small bottleneck and opening. The ceramic vessel itself is a dark brown terra cotta covered in black slip. Scattered evenly across the surface of the vessel are small tan circles that then have Nichrome wire set in them, suspening brightly colorful glazed spheres just inches from the surface. The glazed spheres range from blue, red, orange, to yellow. "San Diego Night takes on a sculptural heart shape that I often use in my work...Since childhood, I have had a strong interest in color and an affinity for colors placed in succession."
