Description2019 City of Tempe Diversity Award winner Jordan Darby is a senior at Tempe High School. He is an active member of the Peer Solutions Club, working to cultivate safety, equity and respect. Jordan ignites passion for social change within all individuals he meeets. He is a leader on many levels and is not afraid to speak up and advocate for a society intolerant of silence and denial, oppression and normalized harm. Jordan serves as a peer educator and facilitates weekly violence prevention workshops after school for middle school students. Jordan volunteers at ongoing service projects such as Tempe Tardeaada, MLK Diversity Awards Breakfast and the Regional Unity Walk. He created and founded the Asian Culture Club at Tempe High where students discuss and appreciate Asian culture. Individual Youth Award
