DescriptionRichard DeFer took a series of photographs of the demolition of the Ash Avenue Bridge in 1991. He donated them as scans which were then printed by the museum. In this photograph, there is a broad view of Tempe's landscape and the continuing bridge project. Downtown Phoenix is visible in the far distance of the photo. The part of the photo that draws immediate attention are the two large silver structures just behind Hayden Flour Mill.
