DescriptionFrom donor file: Native American - Pueblo, cream color. Seated clay figure with domed head, coffee bean eyes, protruding nose with nostrils indicated, projecting ears, elbows bent and hands covering mouth. wide mouthed, flaired rim jar rests at feet. Rim partly decorated with indentations and red pigment. Dark swastica design visible on front torso. Whole object save lower interior of jar covered with cream colored slip. clay body is brown. Base reads "Santa Fe, RCA 1905" in pencil. Donor indicates object is from Tesuque, New Mexico.Status
