DescriptionThis is a photographic slide showing Tempe in its early development from atop Tempe Butte, where in the forefront you can see a part of ASU's campus and most notably, the Old Main building (bottom middle adjacent to the palm trees). In the background a bit further back but in the middle of the photo, there is a patch of open grass, which is Daley Park. At the very top of the photo and away from the buildings is the edge of town and then emerging away from Tempe, where there is some farmland and areas for bird hunting.Status
