DescriptionWooden cross carried by Dr. Fenn J Hart, Tempe's first mayor, during his time serving as a Red Cross physician and combat surgeon in Manila during the Spanish-American and Philippine Wars from 1898 - 1900. The cross is made of dark brown wood, and has a small leather carrying strap secured through a small hole carved into the top of the cross.
