DescriptionPiece of rubber from the inflatable dam on the west side of Tempe Town Lake. The dam was originally built in 1999, but unexpectedly broke on July 20, 2010, causing most of the water to reaease and the death of thousands of fish. The dam was repaired with new rubber bladders by October of that year. In 2016 the current steel hydraulic dam was completed, replacing the inflatable rubber dam.
