DescriptionColor photograph of the Burgess Carriage House at Heritage Square in Phoenix, Arizona. The red brick Victorian-era home in the background at right is the Rosson House Museum. The photo shows the restoration of the carriage house after it was moved to Heritage Square after its donation in 1976. (View is looking north.)

The carriage house was originally located at the Francis Marion Mognett Ranch (bounded on the south by Van Buren Street, on the north by Roosevelt Street, on the west by Central Avenue, and on the east by the alley way between 3rd and 4th Streets). The ranch was originally established in 1881, and the carriage house was built there sometime after that. In 1976, the structure was donated by Forest Burgess to the City of Phoenix. It now serves as the museum store for the Rosson House.

The Burgess Carriage House is the only historic building at Heritage Square that was moved from another location.
