Gunnar Horn

BiographyGunnar Horn was a teacher in Omaha Public Schools from 1933-1977. Then he wrote mystery novels with Josephine Frisbie, a fellow retired teacher. He was Nebraska Teacher of the Year in 1975, and one of the top 15 high school journalism teachers in the country in the early '70s. He left 26% of his $3,000,000 estate to the Danish Immigrant Museum (he invested well). He took pride in his roots - he was an immigrant from Denmark at age three and his family lived on a dairy farm.
