Attended Rural School, and later, the Tempe Grammar School and the Tempe Normal School. While attending the Normal School he met Rachel
Brady. After their marriage they lived on the old home place south of Tempe. In 1913 the family
moved to Glendale, where Mr. Walker was farming newly cleared land.
He served as a member of the Tempe High School Board of Trustees, as a member of the Salt River Valley Water Users Association, and as chairman of the Maricopa County Agricultural Conservation Committee. In 1936 he was forced to resign all his public duties because of failing health.
Lived at 818 McAllister Avenue.
