BiographyAttended Arizona State University, where he received his bachelor's and master's degrees. Worked as an educator for 22 years, including junior high school teacher in Nogales, and 11 years with the Arizona Dept. of Education. He was the State Director of Bilingual Education and Director of Equal Educational Opportunities. Member of Tempe Council of LULAC and State Director of the Arizona League of United Latin American Citizens, 1972-73.He became a commercial real estate broker in 1986, and owned two restaurants.
