BiographyArrived in Tempe in 1919. Occupation: janitor.
His grandfather was prospecting for gold in Chihuahua, Mexico, and moved north up
the Mimbres River into New Mexico, and then to Solomonville by c1900. Joaquin Bustoz started working as a janitor for the Tempe School District in 1935, and continued working there until c1956. Tempe School District No. 3 named Bustoz Elementary School in honor of Joaquin and Ramona Bustoz.
