He had been a successful land developer in California. Settled in Elsinore, California, but due to a drought, the family moved to Fresno County in 1899.
Shareholder in the Tempe Irrigating Canal Co., 1923.
Owned S2 N2, north of canal, section 32 (84 acres) in 1924.
Lived on a ranch at 4070 S. Priest, 1913-1929.
