BiographyManager and President of Hayden Flour Mill.Tempe City Councilman, 1964-1968.
He entered military service at the end of World War II, served in Germany and the Pacific, and was discharged from the Army in 1948.
He started working for the Hayden Flour Mill, which had been established by his grandfather in 1874, working a salesman. In 1955 he began learning the operations of the mill, purchased stock from partners in the mill, and became owner and president of Hayden Flour Mill.
In 1981 he sold the mill to Bay State Milling Company, but continued as president of the
Hayden Mill division and public relations director.
