Tempe City Councilman, 1994, 1998-present.
He was instrumental in getting land and funding provided by the City of Tempe and Maricopa County for the construction of the original Tempe Center for the Handicapped at 250 W. First Street. The Center honored him by naming the new building after him in 1985. In 1993 Tempe City Council named him to serve the remaining months of Councilman Don Cassano's term. He was a reader for law recordings for the blind. He also has served in the U.S. Army's
Judge Advocate's Corps, doing trial work and representing defendants in Missouri, California, and Vietnam. He moved to Tempe in 1969 and opened a law firm in 1974. He was chairman of the Downtown Tempe Steering Advisory Committee.
