Description(A) Small teapot. Multicolored painting on body of teapot depicts women in kimono on bridge, house, and blooming cherry trees in middle ground, sea or lake and Mt. Fuji in background. Handle, spout, and rim of pot are principally red with gold paint on top. Ring of gold applied just above slightly flaring feet. Placed in location BR3:2.3B on August 22 2013.(B) Lid has deep, unglazed collar which fits inside pot rim. Designs of lantern, peony and Kinkanuj in embossed linework on fluted surface of lid is unlike painting on body of pot. Lid handle and rim in red and gold style of pot handle. Lid is not located at location.
