Grave Robbers -

Over 100 persons plundered a centuries-old Indian grave site in Tempe Saturday, while ignoring the pleas of Arizona State University archaeologist Charles Merbs that they were using picks and shovels to destroy something truly irreplaceable. Nightfall and police finally encouraged the treasure hunters to leave the site which is now under the care of the ASU Archaeology Department.
