DescriptionFrom an article published by Tempe Daily News, April 2, 1977:Rare Find - Pair of ASU physical anthropology students found this skeletal discovery unusual. Most of the 21 burial sites which have been uncovered at HoHoKam "dig" here this week exposed skeletons in an extended position with heads pointing east. This skeleton was, instead, in a "flexed position" with legs drawn up to chest. Is it significant? That's one of many points which ASU anthropology students hope to be able to determine as they study the skeletal remains, and other artifacts, in ASU labs and classrooms in coming months.
