DescriptionFrom an article published Saturday, April 2, 1977 by Tempe Daily News:Delicate Work -
Masked for protection against dust, a trio of participants in the ASU archaeological "dig" here work painstakingly to avoid breakage as they lightly brush dirt from a skeleton and the pottery buried with it. At right is Pat Remler who, through an ASU art history student, got involved as a volunteer in the project because she lives in the neighborhood of the dig. Many residents in the area have turned out to help the ASU crew, which has had to hurry its work with only a week to recover whatever finds and information they can from the site.
