Planting Time -

Everybody works when it's planting time at the community garden for senior citizens in the Victory Acres area of east Tempe! Sponsored by the Community Food and Nutrition Program at the Maricopa County Community Service, the garden is being prepared above by senior citizens mostly from the Escalante Senior Center, 2150 East Orange. Produce will be shared by the gardeners for use in their homes.

The community garden at Victory Acres is a beehive of activity in March 1977 as neighbors from the Escalante Center pitch in to help.
