DescriptionFrom an article/photograph published in Tempe Daily News, May 4, 1977:

Saluting Good Neighbors -

Arizona's neighbors to the south, Mexico, will be celebrating their annual Cinco de Mayo (May 5) Independence Day tomorrow - and that has occasioned a lot of Mexican Fiesta celebrating in Arizona, including Tempe too. All dressed up and ready to participate in one such fiesta are Guadalupe resident Gabriel Alvarez, a mariachi musician, and his daughter Emily who dances with a Guadalupe youth Mexican folk dance group.
