DescriptionWorking with those statistics as a secretary since 1969 in Arizona State University's Department of Marketing might have helped Mrs. George Niedner in guessing "right down to the button" the height of the "tallest Christmas tree in the state" -- the one which stood in Tempe Shopping Center at Mill and University during the holiday season. Her correct guess of 55' 6.25" won her a $100 check, presented Saturday by Jack Albright (left), public relations director for Tempe Center Merchants Association, and Nick DiMartino, owner of Jeanette's restaurant in that center and chairman of the TCMA advertising committee. The tree, incidentally, has been turned over to Tempe Boys' Club, which will sell it as firewood, using the proceeds to benefit club programs.
