DescriptionFrom a photograph caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, May 29, 1978:Reminiscing - Longtime Arizona State University coach Bill Kajikawa, retiring this year after serving in the ASU athletic department for some 40 years, found a lot of friends on hand to reminisce with when "A Night for Kaji" was held at the Del Webb TowneHouse in Phoenix in his honor, Wednesday. Sharing memories with the coach: (from right) Tempean "Doc" Westervelt, Al Onofrio, Ed Doherty and Billy Quinn, Onofrio, Quinn and Kajikawa were all assistant coaches under Doherty, then head football coach at ASU, from 1947-50 - and Westervelt was team physician.
