DescriptionFrom a photograph caption appearing in the Tuesday, March 28, 1978 issue of Tempe Daily News:

Congressman Comes To Town - Congressman Eldon Rudd (standing), representing Arizona's District 4 in the US House of Representatives, came to town, Monday, to share his views on Congressional issues with members of Tempe Republican Men's Club, including (seated l to r) President Alex Moser, Gil Haskins and treasurer Dr. Jim Hatton. Rudd voiced his opposition to the new Panama Canal treaty and noted he felt the House of Representative should have a voice and vote by Constitution in passing that type of bill. The congressman also noted that the President is alienating many countries who formerly were or could be "very friendly to us," among them both Israel and Egypt and a number of South American countries.
