DescriptionRuss Williams (center), who was a Republican candidate for governor last time around, doesn't have any "running" plans in 1978 so he doesn't really need to keep on the good side of potential voters. But where Tempe Republican Men's Club members are concerned, he's there! Williams, chatting with GOP Men's Club President Alex Moser (left) and Program Chairman Gil Haskins, broke a scheduled appointment Monday just to "save the day" for that club when its expected speaker, Congressman Eldon Rudd, couldn't make it Monday because of a mix-up.The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G7-F.
