DescriptionFrom a photo caption in Tempe Daily News, Friday, May 12, 1978:A Way With Words - The joy of words, spoken and printed, has been discovered by Marcos de Niza High School senior Carl Briggs who has been runner-up and winner in a number of local, state and national speech competitions. Says Carl, "The most important thing I've gotten out of high school is that in order to get the most enjoyment and fulfillment, you should start out by getting involved in as many different activities as you can handle - then sort out what you like and don't like."
