DescriptionFrom an article and photograph caption appearing in Tempe Daily News June 17, 1978:Occupied With The Past - Irene and Gene Bishop are much at home in the present, but past history is very much a part of their lives too - as active members of Tempe Historical Society and Tempe Old Settlers Association, and volunteer docents at Tempe Historical Museum. Here they're pictured in display at museum with furniture donated by Dr. Phoebe Hudson of Tempe. Furniture is circa 1860-1880 and belonged to Dr. Hudson's grandmother. The doctor donated it to the museum and the Bishops were among museum helpers who worked on restoring it for display by replacing covers.
