DescriptionTeen Tom Stabler, a student at Marcos de Niza High School, relaxes after a hard day's work, throwing pipe, shoveling dirt and getting siphon pipes started in his summer job as a cotton field irrigator. He works 12-hour shifts on the job and doing daytime duty under the Valley's blazing sun, says he drinks "about three gallons of water during the day" - and loves "coming home for lunch to an air-conditioned house!"The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G8-C.
