Tempe Mayor Bill LoPiano (right) rolls up his shirtsleeves to prepare to tackle the load of work being provided by City Manager Ken McDonald as the mayor began his last day on the job this morning. LoPiano will turn over the gavel to his successor Harry Mitchell at tonight's regular meeting of the Tempe City Council, winding up 18 years of public service to the City of Tempe, including two terms as mayor.
