DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, August 10, 1978:Hot Dog! - Third grade teachers Elissa Jennings of Tempe, a teacher at Kyrene del Norte School, and Helen Hyde, a teacher at Lincoln school in Mesa, display the solar hot dog cooker they created as project for an ASU class intended to teach teachers more effective classroom methods. Told to come up with solar projects that could be basis for an educational unit that could be used in the classroom, teachers in the class created a dozen innovative solar energy devices and displayed them yesterday on ASU campus. Oh, yes, that hotdog cooker is great for marshmallows too!
