DescriptionGetting acquainted with new materials to be in use in some of this year's Tempe Union High School District-sponsored Adult Basic Education classes was part of the agenda for the evening as teachers in that program gathered for an orientation and planning meeting at Marco de Niza High School, Tuesday night. Among the approximately one dozen staff members for the adult education program this year will be (l to r) Clyde Christensen, GED teacher at Tempe High School; Tom Cole, who'll teach English as a Language at Kyrene del Norte as a new member of the ABE faculty this fall' Vergie Woodward, ABE teacher at De Niza HS' Trishia Lynch, English as a Second Language Teacher at De Niza' and Heidi Glockhamer, a new aide in the program this year who will assist with ESL classes.
