DescriptionSculptured Fun, from Tempe Daily News, March 20, 1985 - It's first and foremost an art form, but the 35-foot long free-form sculpture in concrete created for Tempe's Kiwanis Park by Scottsdale area artist David Kraisler will provide a lot of climbing fun for kids, too. Entitled "The Cholla Group" it will be dedicated in memory of fine arts booster Sara Smith. Kraisler says the steel-reinforced concrete sculpture, which had to be moved from the studio to the park in four pieces with the help of a crane, is one of the largest of its type in the country.
