DescriptionFrom a photograph caption appearing on Page A13 of the Tempe Daily News, Saturday, April 20, 1985:

Gingham dogs and calico cats - This pile of stuffed animals gave double enjoyment. Making them was fun for members of the Needle Wielders, a city recreation division sponsored group for retired women in the north Tempe area. And cuddling them was even more fun for youngsters at the East Valley Child Crisis Center in Mesa, to whom they were donated. Admiring the Needle Wielders' handiwork are Sylvia Hale, right, activity leader for the group, and Pat Huston, a volunteer at the Child Crisis Center.

The film negative of this photograph is housed in box 2G8-E.
