Maid seeks title) appearing in The Tempe Daily News, 'People' section, Page A9, Monday, May 20, 1985 issue:Flower girl - Melissa Perkins, 5, has been learning what Memorial Day is all about this month. Granddaughter of Nancy Wood, member William Bloys American Legion Auxiliary Unit, she was chosen poppy girl for the auxiliary's May poppy days. The annual poppy sale was held earlier this month as a preliminary to Memorial Day observance.
