DescriptionTempeans chomped on hot dogs and gathered at a corner of a South Tempe parking lot Thursday night to watch a tractor with a front-end loader-tractor break ground for a permanent home for the Tempe YMCA. Riding the tractor were John Vander Werf, chairman of the YMCA facility development committee, seated, and Ron Pies, Tempe Community Services director and a founding member of the YMCA board.
