DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing on Page B2, 'Applause', Tempe Daily News, Wednesday, June 4, 1986:Send in the clowns - Members of the Valley's Shriner Clowns tried to make a clown of Tempe St. Luke's Hospital president and administrator Earl Motzer, second from right, when they came bearing gifts to the hospital last week. But even with a headpiece of funny balloons, Motzer couldn't clown around in the same league with, from left, Teddy Bear, Footsie and Pokey Dot, here wheeling in a gift of a stuffed clown for the hospital's pediatric ward. The clowns brought in other stuffed toys and balloons for the hospital's youngest patients, too.
