DescriptionA photograph of Vonda Kay Van Dyke as "Miss America." Occasion is her return to Arizona after the Miss America pageant (which she won in September). Vonda sits on the back of a convertible as her motorcade arrives in Tempe for the ASU Homecoming of 1964. Vonda carries Vi Vi, her poodle, in her arms. The lady in the back seat of the car (below Vonda and Vi Vi in photo) is unidentified. Vonda's car is passing the Hayden Flour Mill (in background with employees watching from roof) and an escorting police motorcycle can be seen to Vonda's left.
