Bushes and brush and water can be seen in the foreground and a mountain can be seen in the background.The water in the foreground is a canal - possibly the Grand Canal which connected to the north side of the Salt River (near the present north end of the Mill Avenue bridge) and then proceeded toward Phoenix farmland to the west.
