Stand & Serve is a best-practice positive youth development and violence prevention program serving eight sites in Tempe and Phoenix. Stand & Serve is for youth committed to cultivating safety, equality and respect as norms, and its goals are to empower members and other youth to spread peace, model compassionate behavior, and treat everyone equally and with respect regardless of identity, beliefs, or background. Smith has worked in youth development for more than 15 years and prepares disadvantaged youth for academic success as the Boys and Girls Club’s Education Coordinator.
