DescriptionAdvertisement for Legend City and Coca Cola, featuring Vonda Kay Van Dyke. Also known as Vonda Van Dyke Scoates, she grew up in Phoenix and was a pageant performer. She performed with ventriloquism as her talent, and held many performances at Legend City. She won the Miss Tempe crown in 1964, and won Miss America in 1965. Vonda Kay Van Dyke lent the advertisement to the Tempe History Museum for the 2015 Legend City exhibit. The piece was framed at Bill's Frames in Tempe for the show, and afterwards Vonda donated the piece to the museum.
