DescriptionColor photograph looking south from Transmission Rd, east of Hayden Rd. Photo is close up view of farm fields, includes a horse and a cow, with houses on the southside of the field.

Note - since the time that the description above was written, Transmission Road was renamed University Drive and Hayden Road was changed back to McClintock Drive.

Note - this property at the southeast corner of University and McClintock was established as the Hayden Ranch around 1890 by the Charles and Sally Hayden. (Charles Hayden established the Hayden Flour Mill in 1874.) The Hayden Ranch was owned by the Hayden Family for many years, but had likely changed hands (possibly more than once) by the time of this 1966 photo. The main ranch house, pictured at left, was destroyed by fire on February 6, 1970.
