Description2020 City of Tempe Diversity Award Winner Jesus Espinoza has educated and empowered his peers on issues they are facing, such as relationship violence, bullying and oppression of all forms. Jesus meets weekly with middle school students to facilitate lessons, serves as their mentor and models ways in which to prevent future harm through positive actions. He has volunteered at Tempe Tardeada, the Unity Walk, St. Mary's Food Bank, community gardens and other community service projects.Status
