This photograph shows the view from the White House looking towards downtown Tempe. Visible are Tempe Butte, the Hayden Flour Mill, the Mill Avenue Bridge, and the Ash Avenue Bridge. There is water in the Salt River.
The White House was built by the White family beginning in 1919. They used river rock from the Salt River as the primary building material. It was located near the north end of the Mill Avenue Bridge.
