BiographyCame to Tempe in 1928.
Psychology Professor at Tempe State Teachers College/Arizona State College, 1928-1954.
He was also Dean of the College (1937-1949), head of the Psychology Department at ASTC, and Professor Emeritus of ASC.
Was State Representative for District 4, c1956-1962.
Received BA and MA degrees from Ohio University, and Ph.D. from Eastern Michigan University.
Before coming to Tempe, he had worked as Superintendent of Schools in Baltimore, Ohio, for five years; a high school principal in Ypsilanti, Michigan, for eight years; and a teacher in Port Clinton, Ohio.
Minister of First United Methodist Church in 1945. During the Tempe Beach Swimming Pool desegregation debate in 1945, he sent letters urging the change in policy, and stating that discrimination was practiced in local churches.In 1929, '30, '31, '32 lived at 109 E 9th. .
Lived at 906 S. Mill Avenue in 1940.
After he retired, moved to 1694 W. Glendale Avenue, Phoenix.
