Moved to Peoria, Arizona, in 1896; worked in Prescott and Winkelman before coming to Tempe in 1903.
Railroad Stion Agent in 1910.
Started a hay and grain business with Claude Pugh of Phoenix, c1911. Worked for the Tempe Warehouse Co., 1914. He was Manager of the Hayden Flour Mill/Tempe Milling Company, 1916. When the mill burned in 1917, he raised funds from local farmers to rebuild the mill.
Rancher in 1920, '21
Moved to San Diego, California, and started a flour mill there, c1920.
Owned NE4 NE4 section 27 (40 acres), in 1924.
Lived at 113 E. 6th Street, c1915-1921. In 1921 married to Helene.
