DescriptionTwo cylindrical porcelain discs connected through a central hole with wire nail. Nail is a box head, driven through fiber washer at head. Has round flange 1 1/8" from point. Smaller disc has embossed (illegible) letters on top surface. Lower surface unglazed, with overall raised grid pattern. Larger cylinder has deep conical foot and is unglazed. Upper surface is unglazed with two segmented parallel grooves. These form part of early electrical system known as "knob and tube."Status
