Arizona State University Professor Emeritus Rudy Lavik "happy birthday" time an every-five-year special tradition at ASU. And the tradition was through last week when from 80 to 100 friends of former professor of physical education and recreation gathered at ASU Memorial Union for a party in honor of Lavik and his 85th birthday. The Lavik birthday parties are held every five years since he turned t0. Party-goers included (from left, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Bye of Sun City and formerly of Concordia, Minnesota; Board of Regents member Dwight Patterson of Mesa; Mr. and Mrs. Lavik and Mrs. Hascall Henshaw of Tempe.
