Guadalupe Town Manager Bill Hernandez (from right), Universal Waste Control general manager Joseph Kilmoski and volunteer driver David Dyke contemplate a "job well done" after a special clean-up campaign conducted in that town Saturday. Universal, which had just signed a new contract to provide Guadalupe with waste control service for the year ahead, suggested the special clean-up day - and provided extra trash pick-up trucks and bins for the 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. concentrated effort Saturday. Clean-up campaign had been promoted throughout the community prior to the one-morning "blitz" - and Hernandez said response was "very good."
