DescriptionFrom a photo caption appearing in Tempe Daily News, February 17, 1978:Hard On Wheels - Rainy weather Tempe and Valley have been enjoying - or suffering, depending on which way you look at it - has been hard on automobiles. Not only have fender-bender accidents multiplied during the rainy days - so have problems for motorists like this pothole at West 10th Place and 48th street above. At one time yesterday, seven cars reportedly were pulled off the street while drivers made repairs to wheels and tires damaged in battles with mud and water filled potholes.
